Corporate Sustainability 101: The Corporate Race to Net Zero by Shakila Rajendra. She is a Senior Consultant, UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) Country Associate at Arup. Previously, a sustainability consultant at Sense & Sustainability Solutions, and contributing editor at Robb Report Malaysia. Her presentation touches on corporate sustainability, how companies address the gaps in net-zero targets and decarbonization pathways by looking at cases like Patagonia, current trends for better environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability reporting to avoid the pitfalls of lack of transparency and greenwashing.

Sustainability and Key Market Mechanisms by Datin Seri Sunita Rajakumar. She is the chairperson of Climate Governance Malaysia (CGM), the country chapter of the World Economic Forum’s Climate Governance Initiative, and workstream lead for the CEO Action Network (CAN) government policy. Datin Sunita shared the historical drivers behind global environmental degradation in her presentation. She touches on concepts of planetary boundaries and why C-suite empowerment in sustainability and climate is critical for ensuring businesses conduct no longer harms the environment and people.
